Ha-Seong Kim Goes Deep Twice In Losing Effort
1 year agoSan Diego Padres infielder Ha-Seong Kim was pretty much the team's offense in their 8-4 loss to the visiting Pittsburgh Pirates on Monday night. Kim, batting from the leadoff spot, finished his night 2-for-3 with two home runs, three RBI, two runs scored and a walk in the losing effort. He's now hitting .270 (86-for-318) with a career-high 14 home runs, 14 doubles, 37 RBI, a career-high 18 stolen bases and 53 runs scored in 372 plate appearances over 96 games played. The 27-year-old has much more fantasy appeal out of the leadoff spot in San Diego, and he's really picked things up in the month of July, going 22-for-70 (.314) with five homers, three doubles, seven RBI, five stolen bases and 17 runs scored in 18 games. Kim is having his best season by far.
