Ha-Seong Kim Dealing With Hamstring Strain
1 year agoSan Diego Padres infielder Ha-Seong Kim (hamstring) is dealing with a left-hamstring strain, which is why he wasn't in the lineup for Friday's series opener against the Cincinnati Reds. Kim might have been able to play, but the Padres didn't want to risk making it worse. The 27-year-old is day-to-day, and he could be back in action for the second game of the series on Saturday. The Padres could use hit hot bat in their lineup as they look to stop a recent losing skid. Kim has gone 14-for-40 (.350) with four long balls, 11 RBI and two stolen bases in his last 10 games to raise his season slash line to .258/.344/.411 with nine home runs, 30 RBI, 13 stolen bases and 36 runs scored. He's most useful for his speed and positional versatility in deep-mixed affairs.
