Greedy Williams Injured In Practice
4 years agoCleveland Browns cornerback Greedy Williams (shoulder) injured his shoulder at practice on Tuesday, and head coach Kevin Stefanski said the team is still evaluating whether Williams will need to miss a significant amount of time with the injury. This comes just a day after it was announced that rookie safety Grant Delpit will miss the entire season with a torn Achilles. Williams is set to start across from Denzel Ward, so it'll be another big hit to this secondary if he's forced to miss time to begin the regular season. The 22-year-old was a second-round pick in 2019 and started 12 games in his rookie season. If his injury is significant, Terrance Mitchell could step into a starting role at cornerback.
