Giants Optimistic That Daniel Jones Will Play This Week
4 years agoNew York Giants head coach Joe Judge said the team will give quarterback Daniel Jones (hamstring) "every opportunity" to play in Week 14 against the Cardinals. There is optimism in the organization that Jones will be able to return after missing the Week 13 upset win over the Seahawks. Backup Colt McCoy effectively played the role of game manager against Seattle, going 13-for-22 for 105 yards with a touchdown and interception. But the real story was New York's defense stepping up in a huge way to slow down Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson. Getting Jones back this weekend would be good news for all of the team's pass-catchers, while Jones himself would be a mid-range QB2 after looking much-improved before his injury in Week 12.
