Gavin Sheets Exits Sunday's Game With Multiple Injuries
Gavin Sheets, who exited Sunday's game after colliding with the outfield wall, has a head contusion, a sore hip, and a jammed wrist and thumb. Sheets is still being evaluated for those injuries, as well as the possibility of a concussion, Dennis Len of the Athletic reports. Sheets was attempting to track down a well-struck baseball in the fourth inning of Sunday's contest but ran out of real estate, colliding with the outfield wall at full speed. Full details of his injuries are continuing to be evaluated, but fantasy managers should expect him to miss some time based on the number of injuries that were reported. Sheets has been enjoying one of his better seasons in his career thus far in 2025, slashing .267/.323/.494 in 192 plate appearances. In Sheets' absence, Brandon Lockridge entered the game in left field and could see more playing time if Sheets were to miss time.
