Gabriel Moreno Hits A Grand Slam Thursday
Gabriel Moreno hit his first home run of the 2025 season, and it came at a good time. He took Yoshinobu Yamamoto deep in the fourth inning to open up the scoring and give the Diamondbacks a 4-0 lead. The Diamondbacks would hold on to win 5-3 against the Los Angeles Dodgers in the first game of their four-game series. In addition to the home run, Moreno hit two singles and finished his evening going 3-for-4. The productive evening raised Moreno's slash line to .253/.333/.319. Moreno has now hit 14 career home runs in 906 plate appearances, so fantasy managers should continue to lean on Moreno being a catcher who hits for average and not for a lot of power, which is evident by his .319 slugging in 2025. Nonetheless, with his low strikeout rate (16.9 percent in his career) and solid career average (.277), Moreno remains a decent option for fantasy managers in deeper leagues.
