Oakland Athletics starting pitcher Frankie Montas had another strong outing Saturday as he dominated the Astros to pick up his second win of the season. Montas spun seven shutout innings with five strikeouts and only allowed two hits and no walks. Last season, Montas upped his swinging-strike rate to over 11 percent and has carried those gains into this season, including 11 swinging strikes in this game. When batters have made contact, it is usually weak as Montas sports an average exit velocity against of just 82.7 MPH, which is in the top-10 percent of the league.
