Framber Valdez Impressive Since Return
4 years agoHouston Astros starter Framber Valdez struck out 10 hitters through seven innings of the Astros 2-1 win over the Red Sox on Wednesday. Valdez allowed only one run on five hits and looked sharp for the second straight outing. Valdez was pulled after four innings as a precaution in his first start of the season but got up to 102 pitches against the Red Sox. Valdez may be starting his season late but there is plenty of potential in the left arm of a 27-year-old who impressed last season by posting a 1.12 WHIP and a 3.57 ERA. Valdez is worth a shot in most fantasy formats if he is available on the waiver wire.
