Falcons Say Kyle Pitts Remains A Big Part Of Offense
1 year agoAtlanta Falcons head coach Arthur Smith said that Kyle Pitts is "a big part of the offense" going forward. That's news to us, as Pitts continues to be a first-round bust in real life and in fantasy in 2023. The 23-year-old former fourth overall pick in 2021 has caught more than five passes in a game just once this year, has only one touchdown (in Week 6) and has gone over 50 receiving yards just twice. In the last five games, Pitts has 15 receptions on 22 targets for 190 yards and no scores. Perhaps Atlanta looks to get him more involved down the stretch in certain matchups, but it's become clear that he's become more of a high-end TE2 in fantasy in the Falcons' run-first, ball-control offense. The Falcons figure to stick to the ground more often than not in a tough Week 13 matchup on the road against the New York Jets, too.
