After a promising rookie campaign last season, Todd Gilliland got the unfortunate news at the start of 2023 that he wouldn't be racing full-time in his #38 Ford for Front Row Motorsports because Zane Smith would be in that car for 6 of the 36 races this year. It was then announced that Gilliland would be racing 5 events for Rick Ware Racing this year, but that left one more race to fill. That race is this weekend's GEICO 500 at Talladega Superspeedway, and Gilliland has found a ride: he will be moving over to the #36 Ford for Front Row Motorsports. With this car being in the same stable as the #38 Ford, though, you really shouldn't expect too much of a difference in performance. As far as his track record here at Talladega, Gilliland finished 7th in the fall race last season after ending up 27th in the spring race.--Jordan McAbee
