Evan Gattis Posts .561 Slugging Percentage In June
6 years agoHouston Astros designated hitter Evan Gattis brought his hot-hitting ways in June into the month of July, popping two home runs in Sunday's 3-2 loss. Gattis finished up the month of June with five doubles, eight home runs and a franchise-record 30 runs batted in while hitting .265. Gattis suddenly leads the team with 17 home runs and 56 runs batted in after an extremely slow start to his season. He now has 14 home runs over his last 164 at-bats and is posting what could become a career-high .512 slugging percentage if the season ended Monday. The veteran designated hitter has risen from the fantasy dead and is a must-add in all formats if he's still available right now.
