1 year agoMiami Heat guard/forward Caleb Martin (knee) hasn't been able to play in preseason due to left knee tendonitis, but he could be available for the regular-season opener next Wednesday. Heat head coach Erik Spoelstra has said he's "encouraged" by Martin's progress. Following his outstanding play during the 2023 playoffs, Martin enters the 2023-24 campaign with extra expectations on his shoulders. He totaled 12.7 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 1.6 assists in 30.2 minutes during the postseason. However, it's going to be tough for Martin to keep up the numbers, as he faces plenty of competition for playing time and is currently projected to start the campaign as a reserve.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
