Eloy Jimenez Takes A Seat On Saturday
6 months agoChicago White Sox outfielder/designated hitter Eloy Jimenez is getting the day off on Saturday versus the visiting Colorado Rockies. With Jimenez starting on the bench, outfielder Gavin Sheets (heel) will return to the lineup as the designated hitter and will bat cleanup against Rockies right-hander Cal Quantrill. Since returning from a long stay on the injured list on June 23, Jimenez has been rusty at the plate, going 3-for-19 (.158) with a double, RBI, walk, four strikeouts and two runs scored in five games played. The 27-year-old Dominican outfielder will continue to be a regular for the worst team in baseball, but fantasy managers obviously won't be able to count on much production from him. Jimenez is currently hitting just .222/.277/.359 on the year with five homers, 13 RBI and 14 runs scored in 41 games.
