Donald Parham Jr. Still Sidelined
3 years agoLos Angeles Chargers tight end Donald Parham Jr. (concussion) missed practice for the second straight day on Thursday and doesn't look close to playing in Week 16 against the Houston Texans. Anyone watching the play in which Parham was knocked out after hitting his head violently on the turf last Thursday would understand completely if the Chargers held the 24-year-old out this week. Parham was immobilized and carted off the field before spending the night in a Los Angeles hospital. He dodged a serious neck injury, but it seems likely that he won't play on Sunday. With receiver Jalen Guyton also on the COVID-19 list, veteran tight end Jared Cook will have a bit more upside as a touchdown-dependent TE2 against a terrible Texans defense if Parham doesn't play.
