Dolphins Decline Options On Austin Jackson, Noah Igbinoghene
2 years agoThe Miami Dolphins decided not to pick up the fifth-year options of offensive lineman Austin Jackson and cornerback Noah Igbinoghene on Tuesday, according to a source. The Dolphins took Jackson with the 18th overall pick in 2020 and Igbinoghene with the 30th overall pick in the same draft. Jackson served as the team's left tackle in his rookie season, but he was moved to left guard in 2021 before moving to right tackle in 2022. The 23-year-old played in just two games last year due to ankle injuries and will now be in a contract year. Igbinoghene has been a bust in the secondary for Miami, recording just 29 tackles (25 solo), an interception, five passes defensed and two fumble recoveries in 32 games (five starts) in his three NFL seasons to this point.
