The Los Angeles Dodgers selected East Tennessee State pitcher Landon Knack with the 60th overall pick in the second round in the 2020 MLB draft on Thursday. Knack was a fifth-year senior, so he's old for the draft at 22 years of age, but he has intriguing talent and should come at a discount. The right-hander tore his right labrum in high school and dislocated his left shoulder in 2017 as well, so there have been injury issues. He pounded the strike zone in college and took a big leap forward in his stuff this spring, winning all four of his starts with a 1.08 ERA and led Division 1 with 51 strikeouts and only one walk. Knack has also added muscle to his 6-foot-2 frame, which has allowed him to improve his velocity. There is risk here because he'll be 23 in July and just recently improved his velocity.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBallerRead More News
