DJ Chark 2024 Fantasy Football Outlook – Late-Round Flyer Could Have Decent Year In L.A.
6 months agoWide receiver DJ Chark is on his fourth team in four years after signing a one-year deal with the receiver-starved Los Angeles Chargers this offseason. After his only 1,000-yard year in 2019, Chark has never been close to another one. His last four seasons have been littered with injuries and fewer opportunities as he struggled to find a home for his skills. Chark caught 35 passes for 525 yards and five scores with Carolina last year. Now he gets a fresh start with a Chargers squad where he could be the No. 1 WR or the No. 4 WR, depending on how everything shakes out with their revamped receiver room. After saying goodbye to longtime stalwarts Keenan Allen and Mike Williams, only disappointing youngster Quentin Johnston, injury-prone veteran Joshua Palmer, and second-round pick Ladd McConkey are Chark's competition. The odds are that McConkey will become Justin Herbert's favorite target out of the foursome, but the rookie will probably have growing pains like Johnston did during his rookie campaign. If Chark can stay healthy, he has a chance to be Los Angeles' WR1 or WR2 because of their inexperience at the position. Take a flyer on Chark in the late rounds of your fantasy draft, and he might give you an 800-yard year.
