Diontae Johnson Battling Turf Toe
2 years agoPittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Diontae Johnson (toe) is dealing with turf toe, according to head coach Mike Tomlin. However, Tomlin said he doesn't expect Johnson's injury to extend into the latter part of the week for the team's Christmas Eve game against the Las Vegas Raiders on Saturday night. Johnson played last week's win over the Carolina Panthers with the toe injury and had a season-high 10 receptions for a season-high 98 yards, but he still has yet to find the end zone in 2022. It also came with Mitch Trubisky under center, and rookie quarterback Kenny Pickett (concussion) is expected to return this week after a one-game absence. Johnson should play in Week 16 and he should continue to be a WR3/flex for fantasy managers in a good matchup against Vegas.
