Cleveland Browns quarterback Dillon Gabriel finished his first NFL start with solid if unremarkable numbers, completing 19 of 33 passes for 190 yards, two touchdowns, and no turnovers in a 21-17 loss to the Minnesota Vikings. The rookie from Oregon had some encouraging moments, including a rocket second-half touchdown pass to tight end David Njoku, but the Browns coughed up the lead in the final 30 seconds and were not able to recover. Cleveland's offense ran more running plays until the final drive, rushing for 140 yards on 32 yards, but Gabriel crucially stayed away from any catastrophic mistakes against a Vikings defense that often frazzles young quarterbacks. As long as he's the starter, Gabriel should carry some Superflex appeal based on matchups.--Nick Piotrowicz
