Atlanta Braves pitching prospect Didier Fuentes was promoted to Triple-A Gwinnett on Friday and promptly made his first start at that level on Saturday. The 19-year-old allowed one earned run on three hits and no walks while striking out six batters in 4 2/3 innings pitched in his Triple-A debut. The young righty has made quick work of the minors with the ability to strike out batters and display good command. The Braves' 10th-ranked prospect began the year at High-A, but has now earned two promotions before the midway point of the season and is now on the MLB doorstep. For his minor league career, including Saturday's performance, the Colombian hurler owns a 4.15 ERA (3.67 FIP), 1.17 WHIP, and a strong 21.9 percent K-BB% (11.04 K/9). He'll turn 20 in a couple of days, but don't be surprised if he's able to earn a third promotion and make his MLB debut later this year. For fantasy, he's not a stash candidate, though.--Jarod RuppRead More News
