Bryce Miller Stellar in Triple-A Rehab Outing
Bryce Miller (elbow) cruised over four scoreless innings and 52 pitches in his first rehab start with Triple-A Tacoma on Friday. Miller, who's working back from elbow inflammation, tossed 42 strikes, gave up one hit, and tallied six strikeouts against no walks in his first game since June 6. The 26-year-old turned heads during a superb 2024 campaign, but he hasn't stayed healthy or performed well this season. Miller has been on the 15-day injured list twice with elbow issues and has gone 2-5 with a bloated 5.73 ERA, a 1.54 WHIP, and 39:23 K:BB in a 10-start, 48 2/3-inning span. The Mariners expect Miller to return in mid-August. If he's able to shake off his elbow troubles, Miller could provide a boost for playoff-contending Seattle and perhaps fantasy managers over the final several weeks of the season.
