Diamondbacks Win Arbitration Case Over Josh Rojas
2 years agoThe Arizona Diamondbacks won their salary arbitration case against infielder Josh Rojas on Thursday, according to a source. Rojas will earn $2.575 million in 2023 instead of the $2.9 million that he filed for. In his fourth MLB season with the D-backs in 2022, Rojas hit .269/.349/.391 with a .739 OPS, nine home runs, 56 RBI, 66 runs scored and a career-high 23 stolen bases in 510 plate appearances over 125 games played. The 28-year-old is somewhat of a utility player for Arizona, but he should see most of his playing time this season at the hot corner in the desert. Rojas' speed is probably his best asset in mixed leagues, but he can also contribute across the board in other categories and has multi-position eligibility.
