David Andrews Wants To Stay In New England
4 years agoNew England Patriots impending free-agent center David Andrews said he "would love to stay" with the team in 2021 and beyond. Left guard Joe Thuney will also be a free agent, but he played last year on the franchise tag and could become too expensive for the Patriots as one of the best guards in the league. The 28-year-old Andrews has been with the team for six seasons since signing as an undrafted free agent out of Georgia. He's played in 72 career games (69 starts) and has won two Super Bowls with the Patriots. The team's offensive line struggled in 2019 when Andrews was out with blood clotting, showing just how important Andrews is to the offense. New England must also find out who they will use at quarterback in 2021, but retaining Andrews could be a high priority as well.
