Davante Adams Won't Play On Monday Night
4 years agoGreen Bay Packers wide receiver Davante Adams (hamstring) Tweeted that he will not play on Monday night against the Falcons. The Packers are playing things extra cautious with their star receiver with the team being on a bye next week, as this will be his second straight missed game. Adams wants to return to the field only when he's 100 percent healthy. With Allen Lazard (core) out at least a month after needing core surgery, Green Bay's receiving depth will be tested against the Falcons, with Marquez Valdes-Scantling being their top option. He's in play as a flex option with both Adams and Lazard out. If you're scrambling at the last minute, tight end Robert Tonyan or rookie Jace Sternberger aren't bad pivots, and you also have the Chiefs-Patriots game to draw from in a pinch. Malik Taylor and Darrius Shepherd could play alongside MVS in three-receiver sets for the Packers.
