Danny Duffy Planning To Make Next Start
6 years agoKansas City Royals starting pitcher Danny Duffy (knee) is planning to make his next start on Wednesday against the Tigers after taking a line drive off the back of his knee in his last start. Duffy said his knee is "getting there. I'll be all right." The left-hander threw a bullpen session on Sunday and should be good to go. Duffy has struggled in his last two outings and owns a 4.68 ERA, 1.42 WHIP and 35 strikeouts in 42 1/3 innings in eight starts in 2019 after a late start to the season. He has the stuff to be effective in the majors but pitches for a bad team and will continue to be inconsistent for fantasy owners. However, he's a fine streaming option against the light-hitting Tigers this week.
