Daniel Poncedeleon Likely To Start Friday
Daniel Poncedeleon is likely to start on Friday against the Mets in place of the injured Adam Wainwright (hamstring). Poncedeleon allowed two hits and one earned run while walking three and striking out seven strikeouts in his one start for the Cardinals this year on April 23 against the Brewers. He's sporting a 3.90 ERA, 1.43 WHIP and 7.6 K/9 in 55 1/3 innings (11 starts) on the farm at Triple-A Memphis. Poncedeleon might only get one turn through the rotation, but he'll be a fine streaming candidate in deeper formats if he's the official starter this Friday.
