Daniel Murphy Goes Yard At Wrigley
6 years agoColorado Rockies first baseman Daniel Murphy pushed a Kyle Hendricks fastball out to left-center in the fourth inning of Tuesday night's game to extend his current hitting streak to five games. He also knocked in another run, and he's now hit safely in 12 of his last 14 games. He's hitting .360 during the span with two home runs, four runs scored, and a whopping 16 RBI. He's also walked 9% of the time while only struck out 7% of the time since May 21. He may have gotten off to a slow start due to his hand injury, but Murphy looks like he's back to being the player folks were expecting.
