Dalvin Cook Dealing With Adductor Strain
4 years agoMinnesota Vikings running back Dalvin Cook (groin) was diagnosed with an adductor strain, a source told ESPN's Adam Schefter. Cook was injured on the first play of the opening drive of the second half in the Sunday night loss to the Seahawks. Head coach Mike Zimmer said Cook had an MRI exam on Monday that "went pretty well, so we'll see how he does this week." With Minnesota's bye in Week 7, the Vikes could decide to hold Cook out for Week 6 against Atlanta to give him an extra week of rest. If that happens, Alexander Mattison would start at running back and would have RB1 upside for fantasy managers. Cook currently leads the NFL with 489 rushing yards and seven rushing touchdowns in just five games.
