Courtland Sutton Could Be Eased In During Camp
3 years agoDenver Broncos wide receiver Courtland Sutton (knee), who tore his ACL in his 20th snap of the Week 2 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers last year, could have his workload managed in training camp after he was limited to individual work during the offseason program. Sutton was the team's best offensive weapon a year ago leading into the season, and a repeat of his breakout Pro Bowl season in 2019 was expected. The 25-year-old should be ready for Week 1 of this season, but Denver's offense has a lot more weapons now than when he broke out for 1,112 yards and six touchdowns. Denver's QB situation leaves a lot to be desired, too, but Sutton should easily be the team's No. 1 receiver, if healthy, which makes him a perfect acceptable target as a WR3 with upside.
