Colts Give Jonathan Taylor A Deadline To Find Trade
1 year agoThe Indianapolis Colts gave running back Jonathan Taylor permission to seek a trade earlier this week, but they've given him until next Tuesday to do so. According to a source, six teams have inquired about Taylor's availability and two have engaged the Colts with actual trade offers. The Colts are reportedly seeking a first-round pick or a package of picks worth similar value in exchange for Taylor, but it's unclear if any teams are willing to pay that much for an RB coming off ankle surgery. Taylor remains on the Physically Unable to Perform list. If he remains on the PUP list past next Tuesday, he'd be required to miss at least the first four weeks of the regular season. The 24-year-old was the NFL rushing leader in 2021, but he missed six games last year and has seen his RB1 stock in fantasy football fall heading into the 2023 campaign. A trade to another team won't necessarily make Taylor more attractive as an RB1.
