Colts Could Address Cornerback In First Round
10 months agoGiven the fact that the Indianapolis Colts' secondary was repeatedly torched last year due to its inexperience and injuries in the cornerback room, The Athletic's James Boyd suggests that it wouldn't be a surprise if the team addressed that issue with the No. 15 overall pick in the first round of this year's NFL draft. Kenny Moore II, the team's most experienced cornerback, is scheduled to become a free agent in March, and even if they re-sign the 28-year-old, there are no other proven options at the position on the roster. Last year's second-rounder, JuJu Brents, showed promise, but injuries limited him to nine games as a rookie. If the Colts decide to use their early draft picks on another position, they will need to address the cornerback position through free agency.
