Cole Hamels Building Himself Up
Cole Hamels continues to throw off a mound and is building up every day, although he has not scheduled a showcase yet for interested teams. Hamels missed most of last season while battling a lingering shoulder injury, but he appears to be healthy now and could be a big midseason pickup for a contending team in need of starting pitching depth in the second half of the season. The 37-year-old left-hander made just one start for the Atlanta Braves in 2020, allowing three earned runs while striking out two and walking one in 3 1/3 innings in a loss to the Baltimore Orioles. There won't be much streaming upside with Hamels at this stage of his career, but that will depend on the matchups and his potential landing spot.
