Chris Taylor Still Wearing a Brace
Chris Taylor (hand) is still wearing a brace on his fractured left hand but will accompany the team on their road trip to Atlanta and Toronto this week, according to MLB.com. Taylor was hit by a pitch on June 9 and landed on the 10-day injured list a day later after X-rays showed a fracture. We'll have a better idea on the 34-year-old veteran's timetable for a return when he resumes baseball activities, but in a best-case scenario he might be able to return as a super-utility player for the Halos in late July. The strikeout-happy Taylor was released by the Los Angeles Dodgers this year after hitting .200 with 13 strikeouts in 35 plate appearances. He went 6-for-30 (.200) with a homer, three RBI and 13 K's in his first 10 games with the Angels and is merely an AL-only option for bench depth at this point in his career.
