1 year agoBoston Red Sox left-hander Chris Sale (shoulder) will throw another bullpen session this weekend, according to manager Alex Cora. Sale is expected to progress to likely two live batting practice sessions and will then go on a minor-league rehab assignment. The 34-year-old southpaw threw his first bullpen on Tuesday since going on the injured list with a stress reaction in his left scapula. Sale's return isn't right around the corner, but he's making good progress right now. Barring a setback, he should be able to return to the starting rotation early next month. It's been one injury after another for the seven-time All-Star since 2020, but he's still worth stashing in all fantasy formats for his strikeout upside when he's healthy. He's fanned 71 hitters in 59 innings this year in 11 starts.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
