Chris Sale Confident He'll Pitch In 2021
4 years agoBoston Red Sox starting pitcher Chris Sale (elbow) is confident that he'll pitch before the end of this season. "One hundred percent," Sale said Tuesday. "Unless something crazy happens. I'll be there soon enough." The 32-year-old southpaw threw 25 pitches, including a combination of his fastball, changeup and slider, on Tuesday. The left-hander could face hitters soon and must go on a minor league rehab assignment before returning, but things are moving in the right direction. Sale last appeared in a game in August of 2019 before needing Tommy John surgery. He's chomping at the bit to get back into big league games, but both he and his fantasy managers must remain patient. Sale is worth stashing in the majority of fantasy formats, but you may not get that much out of him if he does indeed return to the mound this season.
