Chris Jones Says He's Not Going Anywhere
10 months agoKansas City Chiefs impending free-agent All-Pro defensive tackle Chris Jones said at the team's championship parade on Wednesday that he isn't going anywhere. The Chiefs would love to have Jones back after he has made five consecutive Pro Bowls and been named a first-team All-Pro in each of the last two seasons. The 29-year-old former second-round pick in 2016 out of Mississippi State had 30 tackles (20 solo), 10.5 sacks, 13 tackles for loss and 29 QB hits in 16 regular season starts in his eighth year in Kansas City in 2023 after sitting out in Week 1 due to a contract holdout. Despite being an interior defensive lineman, he's been a key contributor for fantasy managers in IDP leagues with 26 sacks total over the last two years. It would be a surprise if KC doesn't find a way to bring him back in 2024 as they try for the NFL's first-ever three-peat.
