Chiefs-Patriots Will Play Monday Night
4 years agoThe Kansas City Chiefs and New England Patriots will play on Monday night after having their originally scheduled game in Week 4 on Sunday postponed after Patriots quarterback Cam Newton tested positive for COVID-19 early Saturday morning. Chiefs and Patriots players and coaches have gone through a battery of tests since then and have been cleared to play on Monday. Along with Newton, New England running back Sony Michel (quadriceps) has been ruled out with an injury, so the Pats will be at less than full strength on offense against the Super Bowl champions. The Patriots will likely have to throw early and often to keep up with KC's high-powered offense, which will be good news for pass-catching backs James White and Rex Burkhead and wide receivers Julian Edelman and N'Keal Harry.
