The Charlotte Hornets have chosen to move on from head coach James Borrego, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN. Borrego led Charlotte to the Play-In Tournament this season, after the team finished 43-39 and featured one of the most exciting young nucleuses in the NBA. Borrego went 138-163 in his four years at the helm with the Hornets, but it appears the organization seeks a new voice in transforming the upstart group to playoff contenders. A two-time NBA champion from his days as an assistant with San Antonio, Borrego is just 44 years old and figures to have a plethora of coaching opportunities on the open market. The franchise joins the Lakers and Kings in seeking a new head coach for the 2022-23 season.--Jesse BorekRead More News
