Oakland Athletics utility player Chad Pinder hit a grand slam in the eighth inning that gave the Athletics the lead and ultimately a 5-4 victory over the Blue Jays. The A’s were down 4-0 to start the eighth and 4-1 when Pinder hit his fourth homer of the season off of Tyler Clippard. It was his first grand slam of his career. Pinder finished 2-for-4 with a run and four RBI, while raising his average to .280. Pinder has multi-positional eligibility but he is little more than a reserve fantasy player.--Ellis Canady - RotoBaller
