8/29:Pittsburgh Pirates starting pitcher Chad Kuhl (forearm) threw off a slope on Wednesday. The next step for him will be to advance to bullpen sessions, live batting practice and then a simulated game. In other words, Kuhl isn't close to returning to the rotation. He has been on the disabled list with a forearm strain since late June. There's no guarantee that the 25-year-old will return this year, so fantasy owners shouldn't have any reason to stash him. He is 5-5 with a 4.55 ERA, 1.44 WHIP and 8.6 K/9 in 16 starts.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
