Carlos Correa Remains Out of Twins Lineup
Carlos Correa (back) is out of the starting lineup again for Friday's series opener against the visiting Toronto Blue Jays at Target Field. Brooks Lee will make another start at shortstop while batting fifth against Blue Jays right-hander Paxton Schultz. Correa developed some back stiffness in Sacramento earlier this week against the Athletics and will now miss his third straight game. For now, he's being considered day-to-day, but this is definitely something that could eventually send the 30-year-old veteran to the injured list, especially if he doesn't play at all this weekend. Correa is hitting a modest .241 (45-for-187) this year with only five home runs, 19 RBI and 23 runs scored. A .270 xBA shows that better times are likely on the way, though. Lee is a former eighth overall pick in 2022 and is hitting .243/.282/.343 with four homers and 20 RBI in his 47 games in 2025.
