Carlos Correa Out on Saturday
Carlos Correa will take a seat on the bench to start Saturday's divisional contest against the visiting Kansas City Royals at Target Field. Correa will get a breather a day after returning from the seven-day concussion injured list. The 30-year-old Puerto Rican had a nice return in Friday's 3-1 win, going 2-for-4 with a home run and two runs scored, but the Twins will give him a day off to ease him back into the fold after his head injury. Brooks Lee will make the start at shortstop on Saturday and will hit third against Royals veteran right-hander Michael Wacha. Lee, the former eight overall pick in 2022 out of Cal Poly, is in a prime lineup spot, but he really hasn't produced much with his opportunities so far this year. The 24-year-old has gone 28-for-122 (.230) with four homers and 13 RBI and is hitless in just two career at-bats versus Wacha.
