Caleb Farley Tests Positive For COVID-19, Won't Attend Draft
4 years agoVirginia Tech cornerback Caleb Farley tested positive for COVID-19 on Tuesday and will not be attending the NFL draft in Cleveland this week. "Fortunately he is completely asymptomatic and feels totally normal," said his agent, Drew Rosenhaus. "He will be watching the draft at home in North Carolina while in quarantine." Farley has the potential to be a lockdown cornerback in the NFL, but he's dealt with a rash of injuries in his career. It was reported earlier this week that he has been dealing with a back injury for more than two years, which led to two surgeries since he last played in a game in 2019. Farley opted out of 2020 due to COVID-19. Because of his injuries and the fact that he didn't play at all last year, Farley could get pushed to the late first round on Thursday or possibly into Round 2 on Friday, but the positive COVID test shouldn't affect how teams view him.
