Cal Raleigh's Thumb Still Bothering Him
2 years agoSeattle Mariners catcher Cal Raleigh's left thumb is still bothering him on defense and on offense, and he's available only in an emergency on Monday against the Los Angeles Angels. Raleigh will miss his second straight game on Monday and should be considered day-to-day for now. In his second major-league season for Seattle, Raleigh is hitting just .204 with a .278 on-base percentage, but he's hit 23 home runs and driven in 54 runs in 378 plate appearances over 109 games played. Curt Casali will be behind the plate again on Monday and will bat ninth in the batting order against Angels left-hander Jose Suarez. Casali is a weak DFS play at the position, as he's hitting just .211 (28-for-133) on the season with four home runs and 16 RBI.
