Bryan Edwards Expected To Start In Three-Wide Sets
3 years agoLas Vegas Raiders wide receiver Bryan Edwards is projected to start alongside Henry Ruggs III and Hunter Renfrow in three-wide sets this year despite the fact that Edwards got hurt and lost his job to Nelson Agholor in 2020. But Agholor is now gone, and Edwards will compete with newcomer John Brown. Las Vegas has high hopes for Edwards, even after he made just 11 catches in 12 games last year. The 22-year-old is a true X receiver and is explosive at 6-foot-3, 212 pounds. But he'll obviously need to be more consistent and stay healthy to hold off Brown for a starting job in training camp. The Raiders ultimately want Ruggs and Edwards to succeed on the outside, Renfroe manning the slot. Edwards will go undrafted in most formats, but he could be an early season waiver target if he becomes a bigger part of this offense.
