7 months agoDays after throwing in an extended spring training game, Tampa Bay Rays starting pitcher Brent Honeywell has been shut down. Coming off Tommy John surgery, Honeywell experienced soreness in his elbow, according to manager Kevin Cash. The 24-year-old underwent the surgery in February of 2018 and was on target to return next month prior to the setback. According to Cash, this elbow soreness isn't entirely rare among those recovering from Tommy John surgery. The hope is that this is merely a minor setback.--Ricky Delgado - RotoBaller
