Brandon Woodruff Throws Four Shutout Innings in Latest Rehab Start
Brandon Woodruff (ankle, shoulder) looked good in his latest minor-league rehab start on Wednesday for Triple-A Nashville, as he threw four scoreless innings while allowing three hits against Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. Woodruff walked two and struck out two. The 32-year-old missed all of last season after having right-shoulder surgery in 2023 and was nearing a return to Milwaukee's starting rotation before injuring his right ankle on May 11. Woodruff is expected to need just one more rehab start before being activated for his 2025 debut. In seven rehab starts, he has posted a 2.43 ERA and 1.21 WHIP with 27 strikeouts and nine walks at Nashville and High-A Wisconsin. Woodruff was a fantasy ace before his shoulder injury, and although it may take him some time to work back into that form, he should be rostered in all fantasy leagues.
