After winning four straight fights, Brandon Royval suffered his second straight loss after being submitted by Alexandre Pantoja with a second-round rear-naked choke on Saturday. Don't let the fact that Royval has lost his last two bouts affect your opinion of him going into the future. His losses have come to the very top of the division. In 8:14 of action Saturday night, Royval tallied 17 significant strikes (27 total strikes) but was taken down three times in the round and a half of action.
