Brandon Aiyuk Further Ahead Than Most Rookies
4 years agoSan Francisco 49ers rookie wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk is beginning to separate himself from the pack after just one training camp practice, and the 49ers are hoping that he can be an immediate contributor to the offense with Deebo Samuel (foot) in question to begin the season due to a fracture in his foot. Head coach Kyle Shanahan has "been really impressed with him" so far in "his attention to detail." "Since we've been around him, you can tell he's been working and that's why he's further ahead I think that a lot of rookies would be at this time." Aiyuk, who had 98 catches for 1,666 yards and 11 touchdowns in two seasons at Arizona State, should have a big role on offense right away. His specialty for yards after the catch will also make him alluring to fantasy owners in Shanahan's offense. Aiyuk is a good investment for receiver depth and could see his ADP continue to rise as we get closer to Week 1.
