The Cincinnati Bengals will not pick up the fifth-year option for the 2022 season on 2018 first-round pick Billy Price, according to a source. Price will now become a free agent after the 2021 season. He would have earned an estimated base salary of $10.4 million in 2022 had the Bengals picked up the options, and it would've been fully guaranteed. Price becomes the first player drafted in the first round in 2018 to have his fifth-year option declined. The 21st overall pick in 2018 started 10 games at center in his rookie season but has started only nine games in the last two seasons combined. His lone start in 2020 came in Week 8, but he did play in all 16 games. Price took repetitions at center, left guard and right guard last year before eventually settling back in at center at the end of the season.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBallerRead More News
